International Prize of Essay Mariano Picón Salas

The Latin American Studies Center Rómulo Gallegos (Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos Rómulo Gallegos), CELARG, created in the year 2001 the Internacional Prize of Essay Mariano Picón Salas, with the intention to honour the work and thoughts of this distinguished venezuelan writer, and also to stimulated the creative activity of the essayist of the spanish language.
